PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The Technical Consultant (TC) facilitates the technical implementation, upgrades, and ongoing support of SAP products and processes to enhance the value that customers receive from their SAP solutions. The TC assumes a lead role in the implementation process and creates value for SAP customers through the enhancement of the customers business functionality and overall system performance. The TC maintains a high degree of customer satisfaction in each of their accounts and growing and developing referenceable customers through their investigation, analysis, consulting, coaching, knowledge transfer and relationship building efforts.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
Assume primary responsibility for solving customers technical issues by providing technical expertise, project planning, guidance and instruction on SAP solutions and business processes.

Analyze customers technical requirements and systems infrastructure (e.g., system architecture & landscape design) and provide support in the areas of database administration, SAP product installations, upgrades, SAP administration (e.g., Correction Transport Management, back-up/recovery procedures) change management, performance tuning and overall technical consulting assistance.

Maintain high degree of knowledge/ understanding of SAP technologies, business processes and solutions, keeping current with release levels and industry issues; prepare training materials and instruct technical classes as needed; and coaches/mentors TCs.


WORK EXPERIENCE
Requires 8+ years professional experience, 5+ years of SAP product application/implementation experience; OR 10-15 years professional experience with a minimum of 5 years of consulting or systems implementation management experience and 1-2+ years of SAP product application/implementation experience.

Bachelors Degree, Masters preferred
