As a Software Engineering Consultant you will be responsible for the architectural definition and direction of a product or set of products in the Teamcenter Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Application suite. You will maintain and demonstrate expertise in the product; possess industry and process knowledge in relevant product areas, and technical knowledge in the particular discipline. You would be recognized by internal and external customers as a leader in a variety of areas and sought out by others to solve their most complex of technical problems.
Responsibilities include:
Establish architectural direction that provides context for near term product deliverables.
Collaborate with product management and marketing to anticipate future market direction and allow for growth, minimize downstream re-work.
Provide technical ownership and oversight for specific development projects.
Create and maintain architectural deliverables such as Data Model, Use Cases and UI Mockups.
Actively contribute to project deliverables such as POR, SRS, FS and SDD.
Analyze and resolve design alternatives and technical issues.
Collaborate closely with other product teams on issues spanning multiple applications or domains.
Represent MRO architecture vision to customers, partners and analysts.
Create and deliver product presentations in support of technical pre- sales: demonstrate Siemens PLM vision/ leadership/ intellectual capital.
Understand specific customer business processes and issues and explain application of MRO technology and its benefits.
Ensure customer use cases are factored into architectural evolution.
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to other team members.
Author technical publications such as white papers, conference submissions and patent applications.
Requirements:
Background in Software Engineering, at least 5-10 years professional experience in PLM and/or MRO domain.
In-depth experience with Teamcenter products desirable.
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Software Engineering or other technical discipline required.
Advanced degree preferred.
Demonstrated leadership skills; ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
