Design Engineer 4Design Lead position reports to HALE Air Vehicle Equipment Installations and Wire Harnesses Integrated Product Team Lead. Candidate will have responsibility for equipment installations design requirements, cost, schedule, and customer satisfaction. Design products include CAD models, layouts, engineering bills of material, parts lists, specifications, drawings for air vehicle secondary structure, equipment supports, fluid systems details, assemblies and installations, as well as equipment and electrical cabling installations. Includes design support to manufacturing/production, such as technical coordination and disposition of issues. Candidate must provide definition, integration, and control of technical requirements; ensure technical coordination with other internal and external disciplines, suppliers, and customers. Candidate will coordinate the IPT management to provide input for basis of estimates for proposals, design team cost/schedule impacts for Change
Board items, staffing/skill level needs for resource requirements, and action plans for design-related risk mitigation. Candidate must ensure execution of tasks within budget and schedule requirements.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum requirement is a bachelors degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and a minimum of 8 years of related experience. The ability to obtain a Security Clearance is required. Candidate must have excellent leadership and communication skills, be proficient with Microsoft Office products and be able to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment.Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with strong technical background in equipment supports/installation, fluid systems, and cable installations, with knowledge of Global Hawk release processes, ProEngineer, and Teamcenter practices are preferred. CATIA V5 experience is a plus. Relocation Assistance Available.
