Software Engineer

(please note: no visa sponsorships – local candidates only.)

Under general direction, responsible for the implementation, maintenance, support, and enhancement of software tools and development environments used by groups in the development of commercial software products. Responsible for following the processes and procedures outlined in the area’s Business
Management System.

- Customer support

- Environment Administration

- Software Tools Administration

- Participates in projects. Plans and completes project tasks.

- Evaluates new products or methods to improve group or customer efficiency and productivity.

- Documentation and Training

Must have the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in a software related field or 3 years experience in a software development environment

• Excellent customer service attitude

• Effective written and oral communication skills

• Working knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle

• Software development experience in several languages

• Comfortable working on multiple platforms

And, one of the following…..

• Experience doing large scale production software builds.

• Expert knowledge of Perl

Or,

• Experience developing with Java, J2EE, Servlets, Database

• Desirable to have experience with Hibernate, JBoss, MySQL, AspectJ
