full time Systems Engineer - JPAL

Job Purpose:
The system engineer provides technical advice to high-level management and technical personnel, and other entities. Serves as a consultant to other technical experts in the field and provides advice on issues when experts disagree. Makes presentations and writes technical reports and papers in areas of expertise. Responsible for guiding the work through subordinates or other personnel by means of periodic reviews, briefings, reports, or observations.

Duties:
• Articulate and document system functions and requirements
• Communicate and coordinate with the development team and the customer
• Review and analyze customer requirements throughout the development process
• Test Plan and Procedure development
• Requirements analysis and allocation
• Risk analysis, and trade-off studies
• Implement company information assurance, interoperability, and integration policies, directives, and regulations
• Design of the systems architecture

Experience Preferred:
One of more of the following may be required based on the particular program assigned:
o Requirements tools (DOORS, Req Pro), Scheduling tools (MS Project, UML), Generation of Requirements

Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in applicable engineering or science field or equivalent experience

Must be a US Citizen with ability to obtain a Secret Clearance

Must have strong formal requirements capturing and allocation experience. Preferred with a technical domain but not required. Must have experience using one of the following requirements capture tools: DOORS/Req Pro/Teamcenter System Engineering and Requirements Management
