Engineer Mech Equip Dsgn 3

Crew and Equipment Design Engineer L3ME to establish designs for manufacture of large equipment enclosures and layout for packaging of systems within enclosures for deployment on a Naval Ship. Basic knowledge of TeamCenter is required. Candidate shall establish packaging designs based on requirements related to shipping, moving, securing, unpacking / repacking at sea and support of systems on-ship. Systems can include aircraft, undersea systems and support equipment related to ship missions. Candidate shall be a Mechanical Engineering professional experienced with development of large enclosure design and equipment layouts including handling analysis, drawings per DoD 100, configuration management, BOM management, fastener design, materials selection and finish requirements for a Naval Shipboard environment.
Candidate shall:
be proficient in CATIAv5, perform simple structural analysis to support design and manage outsourcing of analysis to support design verificaiton. Candidate
shall be familiar with manufacturing methods, source and evaluate manufacturing and interface with manufacturing to produce enclosures. Candidate shall communicate designs as part of a lage multi-disciplined team.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
BSME or equivalent plus a minamum of 5 years relevant experience is required. Experience with integration of military systems into vehicles is a plus. MULTIPLE POSITIONS. Security Clearance Required.
