we have an immediate opening for a Master Scheduler for a precision machining company in Brenham, TX

This position is responsible for the performance and oversight of the Master Production Schedule with annual volume of $50 plus million sales per year. Up to 500 items scheduled and master schedule lines up to 2000 at any given time.

JDE/PS tools will be used along with APICS standard thought processes to perform the functions required.

The duties will include, but not limited to:

Ability to work in a fast paced, customer focused, evolved in job shop environment

Annual and periodic Capacity Requirement Planning for the facility

Master schedule development and implementation and revenue stream prediction and reporting for the facility on a daily, weekly and monthly basis

Engineering change implementation into manufacturing

Capacity rescheduling as required and custom date change request

Coordination of outsource strategies to smooth capacity constrained work centers as well as coordination of outsource on Master Manufactured strategy parts

Must have excellent communication skills and self motivated.

A BS degree in business or related field is required, APIS certification preferred. Three to five years of experience in a Master Scheduling role is required, JDE, experience a plus, along with advanced performance level in the use Microsoft Office tools: Excel; Work; Power Point, Viso and Outlook.

The key aspect of the process will be global sourcing, standardization, improved quality performance, and reduced total cost of purchased components. Position involves cross functional teaming with procurement, engineering, quality, manufacturing and finance group.

Requirements
Must have strong negotiation skills.

Strong leadership skills, ability to read and understand drawings and specifications.

High level of proficiency in Excel, Word and Power point.

B.S. in business or engineering.

7-10 years experience in progressive purchasing.

Strong sourcing experience, both domestically and global.

2-3 years experience in leading supply chain commodity team.

Job Purpose:
The system engineer provides technical advice to high-level management and technical personnel, and other entities. Must have strong formal requirements capturing and allocation experience. Preferred with a technical domain but not required. Must have experience using one of the following requirements capture tools: DOORS/Req Pro/Teamcenter System Engineering and Requirements Management
